The DS9 uniforms set out to fix this while hiding the zippers. Since even autismos don't complain about this it was a pretty successful compromise between actor needs and uniform look. In the latest nuTrek they've not managed to hide the zipper, but made a groove in the middle of the uniform for it instead. Looks worse. The cut is also accentuating the jowls of the now fat or old casting and it doesn't do well with girth either. Lost 90s tech I guess.
