Any more movies like this? Specifically movies that sync to the music
Do you think the prequels looked better
Tron Areas is an awesome movie and I'm tired of pretending it's not
>>217365484This desu
>>217365477Star Wars? No. Tron Ares is probably the best looking movie since the first Transformers
>>217365647Bruh I like Ares but that's cap, see Avatar 2
>>217365464FantasiaIt's literally animated to the music
>>217365674I'm talking about the real stuff. I don't think there's a single scene or shot in Avatar 2 that's in real life.
coolest looking movie in a long time
This movie frustrates meI am a big fan of the franchise. Seeing that digital world in Legacy blew away my 10 year old mind and I became obsessed with the overall franchise. The idea of a digital world with such a cool aesthetics was so enthralling. I made multiple original characters that were heavily influenced by Tron, from their physical appearance to their abilities to make hard light constructs to the idea of digital worlds residing in a computer. I was obsessedAnd I was hyped when the trailer for this movie came out. I heard that Disney was making another Tron movie but I honestly expected it to get scrapped and forgotten with how little attention the franchise has gotten. You have no idea how excited I was when I saw the thumbnail for the trailer. I remember always thinking the next step for the franchise to go in is the idea of programs entering the real world. If quorra can do it, what's not to say an army can do it, or a light tankThen the movie came out. It was worth the watch in Imax from the audio alone but that, and the visuals, are honestly the best I have to say about the movie. It was so detached from the source material that if, by some miracle, Disney were to continue this franchise and pick up where legacy started, I would say this movie is ultimately non-essential. I really wish it did more for the universe because it barely did anything. I'm sad that this will probably be the only Tron related shit we get from Disney for the next decade, if at all. Things were already bleak when Disney shelved the series to make way for their shitty sequel trilogy, this situation is much worse.
>>217365464You mean like some kind of music video??
>>217365915I always liked Legacy and saw it at about the same time you did, but I never considered myself a "Tron fan" and only watched it a couple times. Honestly don't like the original. The Ares teaser trailer still got me crazy hyped and I really liked the movie so far as to watch it in theaters literally like 8 times. Obviously it has a lot of flaws but I personally enjoy it a lot in spite of them. Bought the soundtrack, got the popcorn bucket+poster, etc.I want to see Leto back as Ares teaming up with a gruffy Boxleitner as Tron himself (I don't remember if Tron was supposed to actually be dead in Legacy or not, just find some way to bring him back). There's fuel left in the tank I think for one last attempt but they have to tie things up. Tron 3 thought it was like Avatar where they could afford to make a feature length filler episode. They need to learn their lesson and just dump a bunch of money into Tron 4 as a grand finale, then they can wash their hands clean of this franchise that they don't seem to want.
