Were cushy office jobs really the bane of Gen-Xers?
i guess you'll just repeatedly overlook the fact that he have serious issues and keep making these godawful threads
>>217368391Zoomer here, I like Gen X even if they dropped the ball on leadership. I don’t think my generation is perfect at all, but these guys could’ve done a lot more to better the system. Thank you for the good music and entertainment anyway. I hope we have a lot less of an adversarial relationship compared to millennials and boomers.
>>217368685You can’t really blame us for “dropping the ball on leadership” when boomers refuse to pass it on. And the few of us who do have positions of leadership are just there to perpetuate the system that benefits boomers anyways. Besides there’s a lot less of us anyway.
>immediate "umm it's ackshually le boomers fault i cant find a job!" copekek
>>217368391>no gfMakes working office jobs or any job crushing. What are you working for? A nicer apartment? Goymagazine furniture? He was obsessively building a nest like a bird waiting for a mate, then his suppressed masculinity came out to unhinged psychomaxx into some insane woman’s pussy.
>>217368782>when boomers refuse to pass it onIn defense of boomers, it must be difficult to pass it on to a bunch of lazy fuck-ups.Also, there are only a handful of times in history where leadership was actually passed on. You're supposed to seize it, but boomers did a really excellent job of convincing the younger generations to be docile, good little goys.
>>217368782You guys are the generation of Beavis and butthead. Your poor raising of Gen Z is why the future generations will be fucked.
>>217368685gen x was a hugely psyopped generation getting drugs and cultural marxism shot into their brain since they were 15, I feel kinda bad for them.
>>217368391Think of it this way. If you're working blue collar and do something wrong, it can be explicitly corrected. The error has to objectively exist. In office jobs your boss can just not like you and nitpick made up bullshit like 'muh attitude'
>>217368391look, its my favorite /tv/ meta thread. I usually skip this one because its so lame.
>>217369060this, the retardation of zoomers was inevitable when you realize a majority of their parents come from the “dude! whatever! Kurt cobain!” generation.
>>217368685In our defense we thought the world was going to end post 1999, when it didn't we just found ourselves existing. Boomers will only transfer the power when they die, they hold onto it tightly. We could take it from them, but it would only lead to the same results we've seen when boomers try to take power from other boomers. The grand strategy is to wait and bide our time and not repeat the mistakes of the boomers. Zoomers don't complain as much as milennials and seem show the same stoic indifference to the entropy of existence as Gen X does. We will see.
>>217368933At least he had an apartment and a salary that could support retirement. The vast majority of Zoomers will never have that.
>>217369226Damn a 1/4 of zoom zooms own houses? But their party line is how they are all broke and homeless and this will never change unless we enslave the foids or algo?
>>217369175>the same stoic indifference to the entropy of existenceNothing zoomers embody is stoic. They're just zonked out from prescription drugs.
>>217368782I can and I do blame you. Too chickenshit to stand up to the boomers so you just hid in the corner hoped nobody would notice. Literally the most cowardly irrelevant generation ever.
>>217369175Zoomies don't complain they seethe, which is like complaining but more feminine.
>>217368685Proof zoomers are fucking retards shown here with sympathy for Gen X lmao
>>217369078I agree with you, but a more accurate term is New Leftism, which while influenced by the Frankfurt School (the cultural Marxists), outright rejected both orthodox Marxism and especially the conservative nationalist Marxist–Leninism of the eastern block and the old left. Funnily enough the CIA directly funded and promoted these people because they were seen as an alternative that could draw radical youth away from the eastern block and were considered much more passive and weak. While they never became a physical threat, they ended up dominating academia and later the media.
>>217369417>soillennial thinks he has any ground to stand onlol lmao even
>>217369434Generation that has consumed the most s o y by far attempts to say something about millennials
>>217369342families will often give you a house if you're not a dickhead. at least in america, I don't know about yuro shitholes maybe they give you a cow lel
Boomers are the most based generation ever. They took what they wanted, modified the world to suit their needs, ruthlessly crushed any sign of rebellion from the young bucks, and laughed as they pulled the ladder up and told their inferior offspring to go fuck themselves. Look at all the fags itt who live in their shadow and simply curse them as they wait until the Boomer dies. All thought of rebellion gone as they simply accept the boomer foot on their necks. Unfathomably based. None will achieve dominance on this scale again.
>>217369175Two boomers on my team at work retired last year and they were so damn cranky and upset about it. One of them was our manager and I got her job (I'm a millennial). She was 70 years old at the time and probably would've kept holding on to that job if she didn't hate our department head for some reason. Why the fuck wouldn't you be happy to retire? She even contacted me half a year later asking if I would consider hiring her back on as a contractor.
>>217369464Good job being the generation that started the troon tsunami. Really did everyone a solid there lad.
Imagine>you live in America >you make $5,000 a month (which is like $10,000 in today's hyperinflation hellscape) doing literally nothing >the biggest problem you have in life is your job is boring
>>217369579It was pretty awesome. Pussy everywhere too. You have no idea how great it was. I'd rather kill myself than be you.
>>217369504They didn’t take shit, they inherited perhaps the greatest economy and period of abundance in all of human history. In no other era could you work at an ice cream stand and still afford a three-bedroom home, but boomers could. They accidentally won the spoils of the 20th century and what did they do? They let themselves be psy-oped by kikes, destroyed political institutions and policies that enabled prosperity, wrecked their economy and their own cultures and then spread the disease to the rest of the world.
>>217369577More trannies in your cohort than mine by orders of magnitude
Have you ever worked in a fucking office? Working an email job from home in the modern era is retarded and gay but working in a shitty office sucks more cock than anything. It's fucking boring, nothing you do is engaging, everything feels like a waste of time, the people around you listen to annoying music all day long, you get a headache looking at shitty monitors under fluorescent lights. The first time I ever had an office job it seemed pretty cool and comfortable for about four months because you just sit in a chair all day. But after that it's a descent into an unending depth of boredom and emptiness and unjustified internalized violent anger at the completely harmless but EXCEPTIONALLY annoying middle aged people around you. In the handful of jobs like this I had only one workplace was mostly young people who were OK to be around who were mostly good looking. That company took everyone on a weeklong vacation to CLEVELAND of all places where all we did was drink. Honestly--not bad. There's just something about people who are wired to do the same job in the same building in the same room for 25+ years that will drive you crazy if you are not them. I basically understand why we have this thread twice a day but trust me there is more to life than living single with enough money to afford an apartment full of IKEA furniture. That's not the dream guys. I'm sure it beats working at Arby's but corporate office worker is extremely low on the list too. At least when I worked at Arby's I would steal mozzarella sticks and drink root beer all day and have sex with my morbidly obese 50yo boss.
>>217369613I'm sorry I can't hear you from under that boomer boot. It kinda sounds like cope coming from someone who knows they will never be even a fraction as wealthy and powerful as boomer were and still are KEK
>>217369623Learned it from you. Troons are your generations golem. Not ours.
>>217369658At least you (hopefully) live in the US. Quit ragging on your grandpa, he doesn't have very long.
>>217368440>he haveSaaaar-2 izzat
>>217369658Yeah they went to high school and then worked one job for 50 years and had enough money to buy lake houses and snowmobiles. They're also universally retarded. At least I'm of working age, it's a fallacy that all boomers are completely set up--most of them are rotting away in their houses as shut-ins watching OTA TV and buying half loaves of bread on social security. The party ended for them too. Guess what? Never would I ever get a job and work at the same place my whole life. That's nightmare shit
>>217369579One of the reasons I can’t take Office Space seriously. A nice, air-conditioned office, English-speaking coworkers and the biggest problem being a broken fax machine?
>>217368939>live through Garden of Eden level of the Golden Age of the Peak of Human Civilization in the Wealthiest Nation to ever exist>hoard and squander the entirety while making your children and children's children poor retards >also deliberately give it away to foreign billionaires but also street shitting paupers nobody stood a chance against the parasitic, tick-brained, locust/leech hybrid economic and societal black holes that are boomers truly there has never been a more revolting, absolutely putrid, soulless plague of demons I spit on their graves every day (which are growing in number rapidly, exponentially to their avarice)
>>217369609don't feel sorry for me, I moved to Japan. I feel sorry for all the dumbasses still in the US.
>>all this verbal diarrheaThe first generation worthy of respect will be the one that picks up some guns and exterminated the other generations. If you can't or won't do that, shut the fuck up.
>>217369746>spend a combined 90 minutes daily commuting to an ugly gray building >eight hour workday under fluorescent lights stuck in a chair with an unavoidable one hour lunch >can only blow off steam at Applebee's There's no way your life is worse than this. If that's appealing to you, you're hopeless or naive.
>>217368782It's boomers. Everything is just a chain reaction from their choices.
>>217369799I'd be down to genocide all zoomer "males". MillennialGODS can breed a better generation with zoomettes who are already sexually frustrated with unfuckable zoomer "males".
>>217369746How poor are you that air conditioning is a luxury?
>>217369609Don't feel sorry for me I bought crypto lmfao.
>>217369799>kill a bunch of stupid old people who watch Family Feud and Live PD all daywhat do you think is going on in america/ old people are like dragons with a cave of gold? Killing your grandma to get 200K will only solve about 2-3 years worth of problems.
>>217369833Lol you're noguns just like all the other onyonlennial freaks. Do it or stfu
>>217369814I enjoyed my hour lunch breaks because I got to go on a walk and listen to audiobooks and podcasts. I could still do that but now I just eat on my couch and take a nap (fully remote post-covid)
>>217369814I work at a warehouse filled with Indians and I can't afford to own or even rent an apartment
>>217369870Good. Die penniless
>>217369853Lol? You can retire with that retard, you just have to move to a better country.
>>217369853You fags are saying this or that generation is ontological evil, or dysgenic, or a slave goycattle caste, or something else. But these are just words. If you truly believed your generation was better you wouldn't talk about it. You would eradicate the others and make the world a better place by definition. You're cucked and don't believe in genocide or violence. Just words.
>>217369870You know there's like an entire galaxy of office jobs where you earn like 35-45k right? The guys in office space and fight club were not Don Draper types.
>>217369870LOL why didn't you inherit rental properties or buy crypto? Why so dumb? Loser.
>>217368391You forgot to add CORPORATE cushy job/ corp-like.Im positive that 90% of people would just not work in this kind of job if they will have backgeound income/some type of otherincome deal. Its not just corp, even gov work seemto be trying to absorb corp work ethics recently.I think i dont have to say all the bad things about it, because at this point its a common knowledge. Usualy the pay is alright, but its almost the only thing. Theres very small amount of people that really thrive in this shit, rest are just trying to get by more or less. After a dozen months any sane and self-respecting person is done with this soul crushing bullshit. Yeah its work but tell me how much do you want to spend 8-10h per day with some obnoxious people that usualy eithier dont know what they are doing, have low self-esteem and big ego or they are choleric and make argument about any small thing when they have their period. It isnt a direct hit on your character. Its a natural process, almost like erosion. From my expirience 1st year is usualy good, youre focused on getting better at your job and theres not to much tension beside learning the ropes, but the problems starts when youre not conforming to the standards. Fromsmall things to larger problems, you see how shitty your boss, coworker or just job is. People would quit tbis kindof job, anyone with minimal self respect would. Sadly people have loans and need the money more than they need mental health. Other people arent brave enough to quit, also there are people that jist dontgivea damn and they just repeat the motions - those are the sadest ones to me, because they are aware of this game.If you cant deal withit after sometime, but at the same time you wont quit, youre gonna become mental. ive watched it numerous times and expirienced it one time myself.Respect yourself in the first place, job isnt your creedand fuck anyonethat push to much on you just for the sake of their own ego.
>>217369833
I inherited a good chunk of money and two houses from my boomer parents. Now I make a living renting out the properties. Sucks that you were such fuck ups that your parents didn't love you enough to make sure you were provided for. The NEETS will always lose! Do you hear me Chudski? The NEETS will always lose!
>>217369909And they could still afford nice apartments and have enough money to eat out daily.
>>217369577
>>217370008As soon as they're permanently removed from society and media we never have to speak about them again. Do your part.
>>217370006OK well I didn't know we were talking about a fictional satirical film from 30 years ago. Sorry that you haven't launched yet but again, an apartment with some junk in it isn't exactly the important part of the human experience. I only rent my home so--I do feel your pain. But on the other end of "I can finally move out" is about an 100K/yr middleground of still not really being able to get a foothold, even in a normal place. I'll seethe about boomers with the rest of em and the best of em but I don't think that boomers at large are as vampiric as some people in here are making them out to be. They had a lot of opportunities to make enough money to own homes and buy cars etc etc. We don't. That's an issue with the ruling class, who typically skew old, but not all of our idiot grandparents are Warren Buffet.
>>217369960>Sucks that you were such fuck ups that your parents didn't love you enough to make sure you were provided for.My parents do, but they haven't died yet - and won't for another 30 odd years.
>>217368391I'm a GX, and I actually did have a job like that at one time. Too bad I couldn't hang on to it.
