>defends ‘move along home’ episode from Deep Space Nine
>says it’s one of his favorite episodes from Season One
>it’s literally one of the worst episodes of the entire series
Can we now admit Mike is senile?
>>
>>217382809
spite pick
>>

Mike Stoklasa is just a contrarian retard
>>
Performative autistic faggotry is really cool.

Do they mention Vic Fontaine? I expect the worst from them that midwitb8 is right up their alley
>>
>says it’s one of his favorite episodes from Season One
he didn't say that.

Rich also gives a stupid take by saying Q ‘won’ the fight over Sisko by getting him to literally punch him hard enough to fall on his ass. But Q never fucks around DS9 again after it. So to me that’s a win.
>>
>>217383003
>”I have an asterisk next to this, which means it was one of my favorite episodes of season one.”
51:25 mark
>>
>>217382947

Vic is from the later seasons
>>
>>217383043
He says its specifically a spite pick, and that he wanted to discuss it because its a good example of how nu trek defenders misuse that episode in defense of nu trek goofy shit.
He also talks about it being over hated (fairly true) and that it would have made for a good TOS episode.
Thanks for playing
>>
>>217382947
Vic is worth it solely for the Nog ptsd episode
>>
>>217383007
you can punch Q in the Star Trek: Borg FMV game
>>
the prequels are still bad anon, you don't have to dedicate your life to this man.
>>
>>217383043
and then he explains why he's put it on the list and it's obviously not one of his favourites, context autismo.
>>
>>217383007
>Q ‘won’ the fight over Sisko
I think it was a nice touch how Sisko was irrationally hostile to Q at all times to contrast with Picard who would entertain a conversation in the futile hope that Q would spare him from a Q episode.

It works out that Q finds Sisko as boring and fucks off to elsewhere.
>>
>>217383007
Q doesn't care about Sisko or DS9.
He's only there because he was simping for Vash.
Also no matter how Sisko punched Q would only fall over if he wanted to. He's god tier powerful. Q likes Picard because he generally doesn't fall into Qs traps, Q was likely bored of Sisko after 1 episode after 1 episode after finding out he is easy to provoke
>>
>>217383144
>>217383212
So it’s his favorite episode of the first season, he says so, but you pretend his reasons invalidate it? Got it.
>>
>>217382809
He also said that the ICE protestors deserved it.
>>
>>217383290
he said "one of" and he has a sarcastic contrarian streak over a decade long.
The episode he was hyping as one of his fav trek episodes of all time is almost certainly going to be Duet which they'll talk about in part 2 I assume. Even Mike isn't contrarian enough to rate that below Move Along Home
>>
>>217382809
the real question: is he a fan of the Enterprise Intro?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5J-FOalYVCk
>>
>>217383290
holy autism.
>>
>>217382809
First based opinion I have heard from Mike. Move Along Home is great. It's haters are trend followers who are afraid of appearing uncool. Quark's breakdown is one of the better moments of season one alone.
>>
>>217383230
>Sisko was irrationally hostile to Q at all times
he wasn't. he let Q hit him like 4 times in the face and then decided to play along by throwing a punch in the game Q had set up where they're in a boxing match. and then just gave him a "really, faggot?" annoyed look. he was never irrational or hostile at pretty much any time.
>>
>>217383536
>Quark's breakdown is one of the better moments of season one alone.
Yeah this is pretty funny. I agree its overhated and not skip worthy, it's pretty far off the greatest DS9 episodes though. The Visitor for example shits all over it

It's not close to the best eps in S1 but this douche is one of the better villains in the series.
>>
>>217383615
>is one of the better villains in the series.
Compared to other 1 off villains, yeah ok I can kinda see it. The performance is memorable.
Compared to Dukat, Weyoun, Kai Winn or Eddington he's small potatos
>>
the true villains are the [spoilers]soulless minions of orthodoxy
>>
>>217383694
fuck
>>
>>217383667
I place him well above female changling but well below flakey cunt. I dont even count Damar and the Weyouns as villains as such. Of course Dukat and Winn are way at the top all by themselves (but not when theyre together).
>>
>>217383753
>I place him well above female changling
she is the most evil fuck in possibly all of Star Trek though. Changelings in general
>>
>>217383790
on paper sure, they really underutilized her personally aside from deflowering and corrupting odo a bit.
>>
>>217383472
>>217383340
Ok schizos
>>
>>217383832
i disagree. i think it comes across perfectly in the show how she literally thinks solid are not even creatures worthy of any moral consideration or otherwise and she will literally annihilate an entire quadrant just so Odo will come back to the Link.
>>
Duet will forever be one of the greatest early 90's Trek episodes.
>>
>>217384025
I rewatched it earlier today. It's still great. The guy playing Maritza was really damn good.
>>
>>217383007
Yeah bro i'm sure the near omnipotent being with limitless control over time, space, and matter was super hurt from a punch and stayed away because he was scared he was going to get hit again.

>GOD DAMMINT, Ricky! I told you not to hide the weed in the jefferies tube
>>
>>217384127
he wasn't scared he was going to get hit again he just doesn't find any fun in picking on someone who will punch back.
>>
>>217383615
He bullies the shit out of Quark only for the episode to end with
>it's only a game!
I have no idea how anyone can hate that.
>>
>>217382809
he said he picked it as a response to modern tastes, i liked his adjustments it would have strengthened it
>>
>>217383574
>The Visitor for example shits all over it
I mean, obviously. I am just saying it is nice as far as goofball S1 episodes are concerned.
>>
The worst episode of DS9 is Meridian.

Any J*dzia episode really, except for the one with the TOS Klingons (purely because of the Klingons, Shitzia just drags it down and it would have been an even better episode if they did it like a couple seasons later and they would have just used Worf instead)
>>
I actually like S1 of DS9 a lot and think Duet is massively overrated. It is so overwrought. I wish I understood what people liked about it.
>>
>>217383007
He stayed away because I’m guessing they rightly decided it didn’t feel right for his particular brand of fuckery for him to he at DS9
>>
>>217382809
Mike’s argument that it could easily be a TOS episode made a lot of sense. It’s still a bad episode but it was basically a TOS episode.
>>
>>217382906
This, ounce something becomes well known and you can easily find a list of the best episodes agreed on by all a certain type of mentality ill person for whatever reason can't stand it and has to chime in with shitty unpopular opinions constantly trying to turn everything established on its head.
>>
>>217384445
The "They felt clean because they were clean" speech is one of the all time great villain monologues.
>>
>>217384286
I dont hate it at all, his smugness and pettiness rivals the best of them. It's like a Q episode without Q sneakily leading everyone along and helping them out. Not an evil Q just an amoral Q who wants to fuck up Quark's day and everyone else is just collateral.
