Is marvel art?
>>

No. If you care about capeshit or star wars after the age of 12 you are mentally stunted.
>>
lowbrow art
>>
>>217383225
it is and it isn't honestly
>>
It's the furthest thing there is from art. In fact I'd say it has fully destroyed film as an artform and tainted the entire medium.

define "art"
to me, art is anything that moves you in a way that helps you caress that veil between what we define as reality and what reality actually is, beyond our words. Very few movies are art imo. Out of all capeshit I've seen, the only one that I would call art is Unbreakable (2000).

no

Absolutely not. Art requires some kind of personal creative vision or expression. Marvel movies are made by a completely interchangeable set of cast and crew who are told exactly what to do and how to do it by a committee in an assembly line process.

Sime of them are. You can't deny the original 3 Spider-Man movies are.
>>

I need to know how Unbreakable does that for you.
>>
It's just as artistic as Chinese Navy propaganda videos

I find its grounded, almost deceitful approach to supernatural powers very moving. It makes you doubt it until the very end, and even after it does. It reminds me of Gabriel Garcia Marquez magical realism.
