In Indiana jones, Why did they burn bibles, Bambi, the hobbit, etc. but never korans?
You can not comprehend how little of a deal islam was for an american before 9/11. It was a quaint, exotic religion of the far away desert people. People were vaguely aware that it existed, but spent 0 seconds per day thinking about it. Fantasy literature like Dune and Vampire the Masquerade used the word "jihad" because they've thought it's cool and exotic.
>>217388098Because nobody cared about muslims back then (when the film was made).

>>217388098you wooshed the whole thread with your cleverly disguised pol reference
>>217388259Most of the gripes modern Americans have about Islam, Americans in the 1920s-30s would see as commonalities
>>217388098Well, start by looking up the Islamic SS units.
>>217388332So I'm not supposed to talk about the place where they burned the books or the contents of those books I'm guessing. Not OP just another /poltv/ fag.>spoilers don't look it up remain innocent like Happy Gilmore told the fat kid
>>217388098The Qu'ran is antisemetic that's why
>>217388527Probably like 5 guys in those propaganda units lol
>>217388098The only book I'm able to make out in that scene is das capital by marx. Either way, it's a movie and shouldn't be relied on for historical accuracy.
