This was the weirdest legacy sequel I’ve ever seen. There were pretty much no zombies in it at all. How the fuck did anyone come up with the idea to make this movie mostly about satanists
>Anon is too lazy to look up the writer
>>217388823First movie was mostly about Doctor Who wanting to fuck. Didn't complain about that, did you?
>>217388823>legacy sequel
>>217388907I mean, it’s just such an odd entry in the series. It’s not even really a zombie movie. Compared to Twenty-Eight Days Later, it’s like it’s not even part of the same series
>NOOOOOOOOO I WANTED ZOMBIES!!!!Btw they're not even zombies. They never were.
>>217389177Good thing they've never even been zombies
>>217389177that's why you're a retard for calling it a legacy sequel. legacy sequels are generally clones of the original movie, and never (that I know of) written by the original writer.
>>217389241Well your definition of a legacy.Sequel is wrong
Is it good or not? I can't stand the director but I was willing to give this a shot for the sake of the series.
>>217389362Kinda hard to say, I mean it's definitely interesting. Probably worth watching once, but it's kind of a what the fuck film. I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone in real life, but if you're curious, it's probably worth watching
>>217389291most of those movies are very much more of the same and almost none of them (Rocky Balboa?) are followups initiated by the same writer. >>217389362yeah its good. also more like a modern horror film than 28 Years which seems to be a sticking point.
>>217389362Yeah its good. I was skeptical of the director but its very far from marvelslop
>>217388823>>217389177We knew longel ago that they were just attaching an unrelated script to an existing franchise. They do that a lot now since it has name recognition and a pre-existing fan base. They don't give a shit if it's a lie to their audience. They know it'll bomb hard on its own and better to help it by bait and switching the suckers
>>217389509Yeah, that's a good point. And maybe I don't blame them because I really don't know how you market this concept. It seriously has nothing to do with the original two.
>>217389206>muh infected They call them zombies in the movie chud
>>217388823it was a solid film that unfortunately lacked the nostalgic sovl of 28 years later. for me, the bone temple felt entirely modern. 28 years later felt more interested in stripping away everything about modernity to find what's truly human. for example, the berserker charging to his death on the causeway against the night stars without any light pollution, the angel of the north, the mother's memories that remain even though she's a schizo from brain cancer, and so on. the passage of time revealed that Shell, symbolic of industrial societies, was actually hell28 years later was somehow forward thinking in looking at life in what is supposedly the end of the worldthe bone temple, while more modern, couldn't imagine a future because of its obsession with the past (you DO remember that song, right?)
>>217389206
Are you a Danny or Nia kind of nigga?
>>217389915Doesn't matter what they call them. I can call you a zombie npc with terrible opinions. Doesn't mean you're actually an undead monster. Definitely infected though
>>217389509>>217389564I dont get why you think its so far removed
>>217390161Yeah, you're just a faggot who needs to feel right to fill the black void of his heart. The zombie and infected are pretty much used interchangeably.
>>217390177It has virtually nothing to do with hypothetical zombie virus scenarios, and is more some weird spirituality film. Like, really? What does this have to do with 28 days later beyond having infected. Unless you wanna argue that the series is really about people in dire circumstances. And how they react
>>217389509Lol Garland created the franchise and wrote both this trilogy and the original. Whatever headcanon you have is just schizophrenia.
>>217390264>It has virtually nothing to do with hypothetical zombie virus scenarioshow do you know, anon? they're hypothetical!
>>217390264
>>217388823>>217389177So using your logic day of the dead is not a sequel to dawn of the dead?
>>217390343Who gives a fuck man? Why do you care? Annoying faggot
>>217390324he was more than halfway there! why couldn't he just hang on?
People on here are so weird about this particular franchise lol
>>217390324>>217390264>hypothetical zombie scenario>I want to have sex with women but they won't let meGarland just has to lean on cliche'd zombie tropes every single film.
>>217388823I'm going to guess it was its own thing at first and they decided to merge it into the 28DL universe so it would sell moreSo much writing starts as one thing and then ends up another once it gets to filming
>>217390408i mocked this video at first but I months later, I am not so surehttps://youtu.be/h3qxr6VVqtM?si=G0S8phYHbokE1FJythere is an evil energy behind 28 Days Later
>>217390393This movie is pure evil, absolute talmudic filth
>>217390509Yeah because it's a horror movie you dumbo
>>217390509maybe trying looking deeper than the surface level, friend
>>217388823>There were pretty much no zombies in it at allwhat's life like after the rabies apocalypse? surly it couldn't last for more than a few decades?
>>217388823>"Yes, my children!">gets bitten and turnedWhat the FUCK was he thinking?
honestly movie is retarded and looks like college kids made a horror. I dislike the main jimmy actor, a pretentious ugly faggot. literally a pile of trash
>>217388823Because the humans are the real monsters dude
>>217390408There are some spergs who latched onto the video in this post >>217390509 so now the movies are leftist or whatever so you're not allowed to talk about them. That's as much as I understood
I have a bone to pick with this movie.
>>217390509Holy schizo kino
>>217390504It’s written by Garland. He wrote the original. He created the franchise with Boyle. They’d be trying ideas for a decade. It was always part of the franchis
>>217390408>creators make something fresh and original >people like it and become fans>creators make a sequel that is then original in a different way rather than rehashing the first thing>fans get angry that its not just more of the same >even though the first thing being fresh and original is part of why they liked it in the first placeTale as old as time
>>217391406I don't like that pepe
>>217390127Nia had to make a movie about a brit hanging around a gorilla man and a jimmy savile lookalike commanding a bunch of retards to do gore-slop mostly and nothing else.
>>217390772>he doesn't know about the "anglo" christian churches
very easy to tell who has and hasn't seen it. it's a great movie and there is fair criticism but mainly schizo ramblings about politics, which the movie has nothing to do with
Jimmy is alive right? The resurrection of christ?
