The first movie had Sean Bean and Radha Mitchell, along with some respectable character actors in minor parts. Who does this movie have? No one.There would be a lot more excitement around this movie if they had, for example, Dan Stevens as James and Lily James as Mary/Maria. As it is, no one is going to be excited for this movie except hardcore fans.

i never played the games, my brother did and loved them. i saw the first movie and loved it. thought it was one of the scariest horrors id ever seen. the ending is 10/10. i even saw revelation and thought it was worth watching on a dull afternoon even though i was not paying attention to anything being said beyond the obvious. this sequel is made for me

They could had made a great movie, the game has great themes. But sadly they made it way to campy and not serious. They needed inspiration from the Ring make it s mystery.
