Why does everyone still shit on animation? Here, pseuds on reddit, and even popular youtube channels like Redlettermedia just straight up ignore animation when television & film are brought up.Meanwhile all of your capeshit movies, your new star wars and star treks, avatar, alien, predator, it's all MOSTLY CGI now and yet it's not disregarded like CGI movies are, let alone traditional animation.

>>217395642Disney got parodied to death. Have you ever tried to get someone to watch a classic Disney film that they didn't see growing up? It's an uphill battle. They'll ramble about how it's a dumb kids movie and start talking about the Robot Chicken or Drawn Together or Shrek parodies. If you can get them through the first 5 minutes they'll usually sit through the rest and say "That wasn't what I expected at all" but people are just averse to it.
