holy fucking shit
>>
hmm, why didn't they just do that to begin with?
>>

what even was the issue with this anyway
were the ships shields supposed to just shrug off a projectile travelling at fucking warp speed? It makes sense how much damage it did
The only issue i had was wondering why no one else ever tried it before, but theres a first time for everything anyway

Just asspained people who don't want the battles of the past retroactively rendered obsolete.

Why didn't they do this in New Hope or Return of the Jedi? Like why go to all that trouble to get the plans and do those dangerous runs where a ton of people died if you could just kamakazi one person and one ship in and win?

Like I wasn't really paying attention to be honest because this shit was boring as fuck so I might have missed it, but like when I thought about it later it just made the rebels in the OT seem really fucking retarded

The death star was far bigger than a single ship so logically a simple kamikaze wouldnt have worked

this literally is the reason why people are mad about it, if it was possible then it should already be a staple of warfare

Its been established very early in the franchise that warp-jump is
1. Taking time to charge up
2. Leaves the ship highly vulrenable
3. Everyone nearby instantly detects that you are about to do it

If this maneuver was possible in warfare, Imperium would definetly know about it and be prepared accordingly in this kind of pitched battle.
But i think the biggest offense here is that it just feels 'forced' trying to make a dramatic moment and killing off a character who didnt earn their sacrificial death. This kind of daredevil move would've fit Han Solo perfectly and give him a great ending.
