I've come to despise this. All horror movies, home invasion movies, drama/romantic movies, partner-is-actually-a-stalker/imposter/murderer-movies. It looks silly after a while when you van see them flee laps around their kitchen island table.

Also they have all the time in the world going to some library researching about their cursed house or meeting some detective in the middle of the day or going on an hour long date with a mistress and fucking afterwards.

I want a blue collar setting where things happen in a cramped apartment. The blue collar protagonist have 2 jobs and works 12 hours a day. They could go to the library but risk getting fired for it. Or quitting their job for love and move to some RV. The protagonist is fat and have oily skin because of a poor diet and stress hormones. They shouldn't glamourize it either. Blue collars nowadays doesn't have time going to the bar after work like some Homer Simpson. They work, eat, sleep, die, like slaving cattles. Whatever. It gives variation to the same tired tropes with the same tired mary antoinette white collars.
