To make matters worse, he's been pretty much out of the picture for years. He hasn't been in a movie in such a fucking long time and the longer that you stay away from mainstream Hollywood movies, the less relevant you become in the eyes of the studios. So they don't really see a point in taking a chance on you. It's like a feedback loop that just perpetuates itself.Another example to point at is somebody like Robert Downey, Jr. Granted, he was imprisoned because of what he did. And from what I understand, he was mostly harming himself and not other people. But still, studios did not want to take a chance on him because they were finding it difficult to insure him. When he was trying to get the role of Tony Stark, the studio did not fucking want him. If Kevin Feige and Jon Favreau did not push for him as hard as they fucking could, with a little assist from Terrence Howard, he probably would not have gotten that role. Once you've burned those kinds of bridges, it's really hard to build them back. Never mind in this case with many allegations from many women against Franco.
