When it comes to adapting fiction, I don't really care at all since that's what adaptions are - they change things around and present a new interpretation. It's inevitable.But for historical characters I want the movie to at least try to sell the illusion of it's own world to me. A show like Bridgerton falls flat for me, because I know that almost ALL societies back then were culturally homogenous and the british aristocracy is TO THIS DAY all white.
