try Dark City. it was released before the matrix and the matrix is a 1:1 copy of the movie. it includes the fake world, agents, a hero neo kind of mc it even has the same dark setting. weird how matrix up being similiar especially when you consider that the wachowski transsistermen watched a preview version of dark city 6 months before they started filming the matrix
