There's no way Noriko survived that blast.
That's the one part of the movie that bothered me. Her surviving just felt way too convenient, made the movie go from feeling scary and grim to disneyesque with her miraculous survival.

Probably in the minority here, but I felt like Godzilla's appearance and movement were a little hokey in this film. Like the Godzilla CGI just wasn't very good, kind of clunky.It's been a few years since I've seen it, but I don't remember feeling that way when I watched Shin Godzilla
