You're not supposed to take anything away from it. You're not meant to "take something away" from every film.
Also, is my memory incorrect or did /tv/ kind of malign this movie a bit when it came out? I also recall it being somewhat misrepresented as a pure brawling action film. I watched it recently and I thought it was actually quite good (a bit ugly, though). The action in the film is good but there's more to the film than that.
