Would he complain if he was working from home?
>>217405731Original test screening ending made it more clear butIt was supposed to be a commentary on how the corporate world can affect people. Samir was happy to work til retirement, Michael didn't like it but tolerated it and Peter was just a whiny faggot who blamed everyone and the original ending was going to be him bitching to Lawrence about the foreman asking him to sweep over there and Lawrence didn't see the problem then it would endThat did not sit well with American audences who testscreened so we had to get the good boy points ending instead
>>217405895nice headcanon
>>217405939Head canon? I wish. It's painful to think they had to change ita few things are lkeft in like him being responsible for Joanna leaving him but then they had to get bakc together for good boy pointsThere's a lot more shit like thatLook up Anger Management. It's the same sort of concept
Thank god it's not the 90s anymore and we don't need to work in a tiny prison
>its not headcanon because i based it off stuff that is kinda in the movie
>>217406025You should really keep up with what the writers sayBut you got a final (you) :-)
>>217406015How could companies afford those huge cubicles for each employee?
>>217406015It’s objectively proven these are less productive
>>217405895>>217405974Why spoiler it?>>217406015Open plan offices are a cancer. I'd gladly have worked in a cagey that I could decorate to my hearts content and have some privacy in.Is 'working your way up to a corner office' even a thing anymore? That always looked so comfy.
>tfw best of both worldsIt rules desu
>>217406015So anti human.Whenever you have faces in front of you part of your brain is always scanning them for information, it’s absolutely focus drainer. Being distracted everytime someone needs to get water or go to a meeting, focus drainer.Chatter boxes, people with less work today, etc.Stress from always being watched, can’t zone out for 5 minutes to relax, so end up half focused for 20 minutes
Getting to work from home changed my attitude towards work from "jesus fucking christ 40 years of this shit" to "lol they actually pay me for this".
>>217406397>"lol they actually pay me for this".they won't be for much longer
does anyone not care about decorating their cubicle? i just have random accumulated detritus from the office therei see people go all out decorating their cubes with crap, whether religious, funko garbage, anime, a million pictures of family etc.the only thing I've brought in from outside the office is just one single picture of my wife and I
>>217406424They probably wouldn't be giving me raises and promotions if they intended to fire me.
>>217406476What are you up to? 15 cents per post and the title of Boulevard Shitter?
Working from home saved my life.If they ever forced me to go back 5 days a week I'll end myself. I can't go back.
>>217406015I work in an office like this. I hate it because I always think the people behind me are watching my screen.
>>217405731let go of the internet
>>217406598>bro I need my heckin weed and anime I'll never go back>WHAT, HOW COULD I BE MADE REDUNDANT>AAAAAAACK
>>217406689stop projecting
>>217406598i think you can quit the job instead of quitting life bro
>>217406747>is this what projecting means, fellow pajeet bros?no
>>217406612The eccentric asian feng shui interior design youtube man was right.
I'm on year 5-6 of work from home. I probably would have left this job for an upgrade a long time ago if it wasn't for that.
>>217406015I could feasibly work like this with other men. Wouldn't like it, but it could be done.It would be absolutely fucking impossible to do it with female coworkers. Can't be done. They blabber way too much. I would never be able to focus on anything. I hated even sitting next to one female coworker when I used to work in an office. Sitting with like 10 of them would make me want to suicide.
>>217405731working from home gets shitty but in a different way
>>217406874I haven't done it but I would hate it. I love my family but I can't just sit around my house or I start to self destruct after a couple of days. Instead I work basically alone and coordinate phone calls unless something breaks and then I try to fix it and most likely just coordinate even more phone calls. I am >>217406210
>>217406934If you have a GF or wife who also works from home I can see how it would be an issue. There's such a thing as too much time with them. Or if you live in a smol apartmant I can see it being claustrophobic. As a single homeowner, it rocks. I've set up my home "office" at a bunch of different places: at home, in the back yard, at the family cabin innawoods. A get so much time back that would have been spent commuting. The key to success is to set clear boundaries for when work starts and ends since it seems a lot of people keep a sot end of day and let it just bleed into forever work time.
>>217407048Can confirm. Working from home made me realize I couldn't stand my wife.
>>217407048My wife is a stay at home mom and my kids are all too young for school. Even when I'm off I need to at least go buy some bullshit from the grocery store to leave for an hour.
>>217407093I think if I was in that kind of situation, I'd still "work from home" but go to one of those co-working places or something most days. Or maybe a coffee shop or something. I know this unc who I always see at my gym on his laptop. I can't tell if he's working or avoiding his wife or both.
>>217406397Same. I just got a glowing performance review when I spend half my shift posting on 4chan and periodically checking Twitter and IG. It's also great for my health since the time I would have spent on a commute goes to exercising and meal prep.
>>217407184my problem is genuinely just that I'm an alcholic to be desu. I don't like having more than 1 or two days off because I can drift off the rails really easily. I'm totally functional and avoid liquor but if I'm sitting around the house I'm drinking beer. Also the little monsters drive me insane sometimes at their age but that just is what it is. Point being I would rather be at work during the week than home 24/7
>>217407252>sits on his ass pretending to work on 4chan all day>le meal prep maymayyou are 400lbs
>>217406612They are. I always look at people's screens who sit in front of me. I work in cubicles with short walls that you can see over. I wish I worked in ones like in the matrix so I can have peace of mind while I work instead of being distracted by everyone that walks by.
why did high paying white collar jobs drive xoomers so insane?
>>217406612If I'm not looking at my screen, I'm probably looking at your screen. And your boss is DEFINITELY looking at your screen. No pressure though.
>>217407515Humans aren't really designed to live like this. We're supposed to be out in the sun every day engaging our bodies. Sitting still, staring at a screen is very unnatural. It's just that people today are born into it, molded by it, so they don't know anything different. Zoomers are born and then an iPad with an extremely refined algorithm feeding them cocomelon crackslop is immediately put in front of them in their cribs.
>>217407277oh you are an addict. Yeah then you deserve what you get I guess.
>>217407515Life used to be so good that people could afford to think of higher order things they wanted out of life.
>>217406612They are and this is why they switched to open offices.
>>217407616coming from a self admitted forever alone incel that means a lot bro, enjoy losing your fake job in the next year.

>>217405731Would he complain if we all only had to work a 4 day work week with 32 hours considered full time?
>>217407914alkie havin a meltie
>>217407935>>217407983stop samefagging
>>217407965And a ping pong table
>>217405895>original ending just completely contradicts everything the film is aboutSure pal
>>217408183He’s right you are wrong, you are being obtuse, we have the deleted scenes on YouTube right now
The original ending was/is on youtube, but it was more of a "heyyy if you guys could like hmmmm go sweep over there that'd be grrrreat." Showing Peter that it wasnt the office that he hated, it was work in general."
>>217408331>random deleted scenes are now called "original endings"
>>217408338Then the point of the movie would be Peter is a shithead faggot and not a commentary on anything. Much better it was scrapped.
>>217408390It would have saved us from all those "yess my life is like office space" posts that so many people were making back then.
>>217406273this and everyone pretends it's not real when you mention it. it's like normgroids are too retarded to notice anything that isn't screaming into their face
>>217408926normal people don't have a problem filtering information, autism-kun
>>217406159I agree, I was made to commute 2 hours daily to a fucking office where I was completely alone dialing into zoom, with a bunch of other masturbators in an open floor plan.
>>217406210Holy shit leave some pussy for the rest of us.
>>217408992they don't filter shit. i notice them moving whenever i side glance towards my other monitor. they notice. that kind of awkward interaction where both of you are "oh want to talk?" because your eyes crossed paths. they just don't care because they are cattle that think they have to accept these kind of inconveniences because that's what everyone else does
>>217408331Sure thing faggot, I'll believe you if you share the specific scene >>217405895 is talking about. I'll wait.
Oh wait I just checked it on youtube, he says "hmmm if you guys could you know... hmm just pick up the pace that'd be great."Perfect way to end it, the audience would have been all like "oh no, its gonna start all over again because Peter just likes to complain."
>>217409132anon you're definitely autistic and have no business thinking you have any understanding of other people.
>>217405895>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XK43UreuiqcWe know what the original ending was like.
>>217410016Not the original ending
>>217406015offices were the last remnant of the male dominated white collar space because you could fuck in an office. It's literally not even a consideration anymore because the demographpics now skew 50%bluehair lesbian HR 40% foreign born ESL and 10% emasculated white males
>>217406159yeah seems like the corner office dream is gone. Real shame, actually a career goal that would have motivated me.
