They did include several flashbacks and scenes where the characters were recapping the events of the last 20 minutes just to keep the audience engaged. I really noticed that watching the latest Mission Impossible movie. Especially during the final fight scene when they kept having to cut to what Tom Cruise and the villains were fighting over to remind the audience every 3 mins.
