For me it's either the drunk santa or "The Midnight Sun" with Lois Nettleton

Maple Street, 1 of the aliens episode with a rug pull (so many but 2~3 were decent)
>>
>>217412014
We read some transcript of that in 8th grade english, only reason I remember that one.
>>
>>217411919
Midnight Sun for me. No other show can make you feel existential dread like this one, it's amazing
>>
>>217411919
'Walking Distance', 'A Stop at Willoughby', or that episode where the guys life is a tv show
>>217412030
I liked the 'twist' with that one. I am not sure which fate I'd rather take.

But yeah the alien episides were good too. The one where they look like humans and befriend the astronaut made me think a lot.
>>
>>217411919
The one with the old man and the dog.
I think the dog saves him from being tricked into going to hell.

My favorite is the shrunken nazi who is eaten by his pet parrot because he thinks he is a nut.

My dad likes Talking Tina
>>
>>217411919
I like the hermit man who sold junk and the book lover with the bitch wife that survives the apocalypse.
>>217412030
We did the exact same thing in 8th grade I think it was my introduction to the show. I wonder how common that was in school curriculum.

The Obsolete Man.

Funny how Burgess Meredith played two Twilight Zone characters who were condemned over books. At least he met a more dignified fate in this one.
>>
>>217413184
What about 2000s Twilight Zone?
>>
>>217412030
We also read the transcript in 8th grade but me and my friend were already huge TZ nerds so we were aware of the show... ironically neither of us had seen that episode AMC didn't show it often in their marathons

>What about 2000s Twilight Zone?
About the same as 80s. Some good, but mostly just ok. The woke Twilight Zone from 2019 was unwatchable.

That scared the shit out of me so bad when I was a kid. Had to get my family to get rid of all the dolls in the house because of it.

I remember the one where the ghost of Hitler martyrs one of his followers
and another where the ghosts of Jews lynch a Nazi at an old concentration camp

It was ghost written by M. Night Slumdog

The incel episode with robert duvall
>>
>>217414703
Because it had Rod Serling in charge, writing it and getting other writers he liked on it. Good writing is damn important and TZ is probably the best written show ever.

One time I told my gf Jodie Sweeting was hot and she was genuinely surprised. It was a "huh? her?" moment. I don't think women understand how important tits are.

because it was more about society and humanity and less scifi or horror

It's a Good Life

My mom always used to imitate the wife's "HennnnRY!" call. Did she do that in something else too? Wiki seems to say this episode is the main thing she was known for.

It's not the most amazing episode, but I've always had a soft spot for 'The Rip Van Winkle Caper'. Episodes with karmic punishments for characters were always great, and the setup of these criminals stabbing each other in the back as they drag their worthless haul across the desert is so ironic its iconic.
