It's strange that a man could become a husband, a father and a mafia capo and then turn around one day and say to himself, "I think I'd like to try a cock in the ass." But he'd have to go to some lengths to hide his faggotry for many years if he were a permanent closet case. I think it might have been true that some sort of hormonal changes in his body related to aging, extreme weight loss or medication could have caused his sexual orientation to flip. Contrary to LGBT canon, people are not 'born that way' and many choose to be homosexuals late in life. This all makes Vito's fate so much more tragic because all of a sudden his new blood pressure pills kick in and he turns into a completely new person who has to hide his true nature to his closest friends and family. Perhaps blood pressure pills should come with warning labels outlining the risk of sudden on-set homosexuality?
