I know I'm not the only one who was mildly traumatized by this scene, thinking the little girl got eaten alive. It's easy to miss the one line of dialogue where they say she is ok

In the movie and the book she survives. IIRC in the book she draws the dinosaurs while she's in the hospital. The kid lives. Funny enough Hammond doesn't, he dies when attacked by compys in the first book
