There isnt anyone with his longevity still making games. Carmack is into his own world now.
He was far ahead of his time until MGS 4 atleast but the downfall is not good. Death Stranding was not that great and got handedly beaten by contemporary games in every aspect.

I am hoping his Physint and that horror game will be a legendary comeback
