Just watched Star Trek for the first time. Why did boomers lose their minds over this scene?

Boomers? That's not old Trek at all. You're a fucking retard.
>>
>>217416143
>A-a-anyone 1 second older than is a "boomer"!
Fucking kill yourself you zoomer faggot.
>>
Timing. The neopuritan prude moral panic was gathering steam and people were looking for excuses to flip out over the first sexualized female they saw.

Holy fuck learn to comprehend language you spastics
>>
>>217416143
How did you know anyone lost their minds over that scene if you just saw it now?
>>
>>217417323
Boomers do not bitch when they see hot women, feminists do that.

This, I distinctly remember the outrage felt different than usual and it just got worse from then on.

The boomers had sex drugs and rock & roll, free love, wife-swapping, key parties and orgies, studio54, and porn playing in cinemas. Older GenX as young adults caught up in the satanic panic fervor ushered in the wave of censorship and religious conservatism of the 80s. Younger genX got no sex drugs & rock & roll, we got told the evils of it all by our right-wing reaganite conservatives out to build a new utopian army of god to reign supreme as a thousand year reich. Milleniaks, in their fucking wisdom, decided to romanticize and emulate the 1980s, not the freedom, fun & fuckparty 1970s. They were outraged about the pointlessness of Amy Adams in the movie except as a T&A prop that didbt even fit into the tone or story at that point.

They were splitting hairs over why it sucks, which seemed pointless to GenX because the while movie was an unoriginal glammed-up copy of a movie we all saw done better the first time, and the boomers didnt give a fuck bc boomers were worrying about real life shit like the fact that theyre all fucking broke bc 14 of them have amassed all the god damned money and theyre all facing escalating healthcare costs, no retirement options, and an expectation that they’ll move out of their jobs to make room for the next generation. Boomers got real shit to worry about, they by default think all movies are crap bc hollywood just keeps remaking the same formulaic shit over and over forever, and by the tine youre their age you’ve seen the same few movies they make 3000 times with different names, faces & punchlines & its boring AF.

Millennials weren't copying the 80s when they went prudish. They were partly reacting to the wave of immature sexed up media aimed at young people in the 00s and partly responding to perverse incentives created by the virtue signaling pressure cooker that was social media. The fact that their prudery was almost always couched in leftist or feminist language should have given away the fact that they were coming from a different place than the 80s prudes.

It's because that scene was in the trailers and feminist thought it was sexist and objectified women
>>
>>217416143
I don't recall anyone losing their minds over it. Though it was rightly criticized for going
>hey look, a woman in her underwear, look over here at this shiny object
And having absolutely no plot purpose or reason for happening
>>
>>217418169
>hiding it behind a link because you're too retarded to evade a ban
it literally takes less time to evade a ban than it did to make this post

>>217418375
I don't want to evade bans, that would be wrong and therefore bad and unjust
please conduct yourself in a better manner, anon
>>217418389
no
>>
I'm male and my hips are like that for some reason
>>
>>217416143
It was a hilariously out of place scene that was there for no reason, despite the idea of writing someone in their underwear for some reason shouldn't be that fucking hard.
>>
>>217416143
I think you mean the Woke Cult(a.k.a. Zoomers/Groomers).
