>sincerely yours, the breakfast clubI turned the movie off right then and there.
>>217420214>break fast club>at no point in the movie are they actually breaking a fastBooo, Nolan.
>>217420214Why did he dress like Bane?
>>217420214This movie fucking sucked
>>217420275Bane dressed like him.
>>217420280The movie is basically carried to relevance by one song.
>>217420214For so many years I heard from so many people that this wasn't just the quintessential high school movie, but the quintessential coming-of-age film. I genuinely have to imagine that anybody who watches this might actually be a drooling retard if they come away from it thinking that it is anything other than the most boring, unfunny, melodramatic pap. There is nothing relatable about any of these characters until they start talking about their home lives and parenting. Everything else about it is such a fucking bore. I think Anthony Michael Hall may have been the one character in the entire film that even had an ounce of charisma. At least the ending song is kino. Ruined by that terrible letter read in voiceover. >Dear Mr. Vernon. We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. What we did was wrong, but we think you’re crazy to make us to write an essay telling you who we think we are. What do you care? You see us as you want to see us: in the simplest terms, the most convenient definitions. You see us as a Brain, an Athlete, a Basketcase, Princess, and a Criminal. Correct? That’s the way we saw each other at 7 o’clock this morning. We were brainwashed. Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours, The Breakfast Club. And that was the monologue in the original script. The one in the movie is somehow EVEN worse because it removes so many lines!
>>217420275He's a hothead
>>217420319that's the exact monologue at the beginning of the movie. It's replayed at the end in shortened form.
>>217420286This. Without the ending credits song the movie is shit. I remember jerking off to the cute redhead back then tho
>>217420319yeah John Hughes was never really very good. he cranked out low-budget profitable movies though and that's all you need.
>>217420348>>217420319>>217420286nutsTBC is kino, song or no.
>>217420214This is one of the best films of the 80s
>both manlets get girls>tallest boy is the only virgintall kings our response??
>>217420425>the tallest midget
>>217420460This is scathing but honest commentary that even junkie losers are more appealing to women than nerds
>>217420460As if a manlet like him would be a chad jock of the school lol. That's a plot hole.
>>217420319I disagree and think you just suffer from a severe case of autism.
>>217420535That's possible, since I also don't like Forrest Gump, Titanic and Sixteen Candles
>>217420509>>217420460iirc the whole movie is blocked to hide that Anthony Michael Hall is the tallest. he still won though as Hughes used him in way more films than the other two, and he also got to be in the greatest comedy of all time.
Uhm daddy, why didn't the US ban all kind of flags and words at its peak? I thought the good guys did this
You turned off the movie at the end? Yeah, that's what you do
>everyone leaves early with their new partner>the nerd has to stay behind to write their paperWhat did they mean by this?
>>217420214If the 80s were really like this and Ferris Bueller it would've been awesome. I imagine it was really just as shit as now but with less technology.
>Buzz, you're flying!I turned the movie off right then and there.
>not posting ithttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdqoNKCCt7A
>>217420275Because he's a big guy.
>>217420214What was the actual theme of this movie?
