Is this Heated Rivalry show really that popular?
>>
>>217420351
astroturfed slop, literally haven’t heard a thing about it until like last week when all the corporate accounts started posting about it all at once
>>
>>217420351
Yes
>>
>>217420351
It's popular mainly with younger women, so you are unlikely to hear about it online.
>>
>>
>>217420455
Women do seem to have a second internet, there's a whole world of things that never crossover onto the male side of the internet.
>>
Women like gays the same reason why men like lesbians except women focus more on the romance aspect where guys just like the sex part of lesbian relationships. There's this fantasy where if someone is a homosexual you can be the one to turn them straight or at least participate in a three way.

the whole internet is based around micro-targeting ads by keeping different groups away from each other.
>>
>>217420351
I watched the first episode with my partner and ngl this shit is just softcore porn for women lmao
I mean it's not bad these kinds of shows are allowed to exist I guess but pretending that this is something revolutionary is retarded

I actually know people who are into it, and the books are selling so well now, the shops can't even restock fast enough. Of course, it's the usual suspects consuming gay slop: white women

They're hot

I saw the first edition cover for Heated Rivarly and it looked like retarded smut, lol. I won't be surprised if the books are Twilight-tier that the show elevated to something decent by making use of a novel premise

>there's a whole world of things that never crossover onto the male side of the internet.
And this bifurcation will only grow over time. It wouldn't surprise me if males and females end up forming separate cultures over the next few decades. Then Islam will conquer us

OH MY FUCKING GOD (who doesn't exist by the way, Christo-fascist incelic scum). TRANSPHOBIC GARBAGE AGAIN?!?!?!!??!?

I just CAN'T take it anymore! That does it! That's it, no more Mr. Nice Guy. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

MAYONNAISE CHUD, your toxic rhetoric will NOT divide us.

Mayonnaise CHUD, we do not forget. We do not forgive. You have been warned.

We are the Chudbusters. Mayonnaise Chud of Chuddonnaise, consider yourself WARNED. This is ChudWATCH.

Chudbuster OUT.

Straight women love it because the guys are hot.
It's literally just fanfiction tier smut that's been put on screen.
>>
>>217421307
Their is also the escapism element because both main characters are rich as fuck and live charmed lives. Call Me By Your Name also had a fairytale esque setting in Italy. Shows that indulge in something far removed from regular life or are highly escapist (the world of GoT and Fallout tv show) owe some of their success to these things

>I won't be surprised if the books are Twilight-tier that the show elevated to something decent by making use of a novel premise
It's quite a faithful adaption actually, the plot isn't too original but the actors are surprisingly good
>>
No, can you stop spamming this fucking faggotry. You are too obvious shill

I had never heard of this movie until I watched a hockey stream using a Canadian source and saw like 50 commercials for it before I had to switch sources

It's not popular. You can just look at the Nielsen ratings.
To give an example, here is a graph of Nielsen tracking all tv media consumption last year. Streaming is around 44% of what people watch.
Of that 44% only 1.3% of that was from Discovery+/HBOMax. Netflix has about 8.3%. Even at highest competition Amazon has about half of Netflix's marketshare. This is why they have to lift out reruns of NCIS or Grey's Anatomy when comparing streaming and only do it for "original" shows. Apple TV isn't even a high enough percentage to be counted in anything but "other streaming."
Original shows/movies on streaming are particularly popular to get the ratings they do with the amount of audience available. But being a second tier show on any streaming service other than netflix means you may as well not exist to people.
Pluribus was mogged by Castle Rock (2018) on Netflix during December probably because people without HBO were looking for Stephen King tv show.
Stranger Things is popular, Landman is actually popular with like half the audience of Stranger Things somehow in December. But Fallout gets beat by Emily in Paris. And sure, some of this is how they count ratings for Nielsen (by minutes watched and having more episodes of older seasons helps and dropping them all at once boosts this rating and that's why they do it). But Heated Rivalry is not popular, it's not talked about. Nobody knows it exists without the astroturfing of it. It's awards bait for gay shit, that's it.

>>217421930
Who pays for streaming, I’m torrenting this shit
>>
>>217421930
It didn’t release globally yet. It’s only available in America, Canada and UK.
>>
>>217421969
Nielsen only counts Americans, retard.
>>
>>217420421
Definitely trying to make it seem more popular than it is.
