You know what? I actually respect that a company the size of Disney took this risk. A larp hotel is such a unique idea, but so fucking niche that it was never going to work. (How many people are true larper freaks, vs dumb kids with their families?) I find that level of autism respectable. Really I do. "There's no fucking windows because you're in space!" "Eat blue shrimp, it's alien food!" That's the kind of shit that I would insist on if I were running a larp hotel. The ironclad commitment to simulating a spaceship instead of making something commercially viable at all. I don't give a fuck about star wars but you can tell that they really were trying to make star wars feel real instead of just opening a themed hotel (which would have made money!). Good for them.
