garland is so overrated. ex machina was good not the greatest AI movie of its time. the natalie portman ayy-bubble movie was bad--boring characters, all style no substance--but people glazed it. men was goofy. civil was was a slog. even warfare was way overrated critically. i can see everyone getting stupider based on the critic darling films.
