1 and 2 are masterpieces but what’s /tv/‘s opinion of the rest of the Terminator franchise? I’ve never heard one person talk highly about any of the Terminator films after Judgement day. Why doesn’t James Cameron want to invest any time, money or creativity himself on reinvigorating not only the Terminator franchise but Alien as well? IMO, I feel as though Cameron has wasted so many years of his career squandering much of his creative potential on Avatar.
>>217434616Terminator is dead since T2. Leave it alone already
Terminator 3 is awesome, and the greatest spite sequel of all time -- crafted in a feverish haze where the writers were weeks away from being fired, engineered to shit all over Terminator 2 and its fanbase. It's a miracle that the film's venom towards Terminator 2 and "No fate" survived all the studio interference. The essence of great art is being a true hater. Nobody who liked Terminator 2 was ever going to make a worthy sequel. They needed venom, they needed quiet, decade-long brooding resentment.Everything after Terminator 3 is a cash grab that either has nothing to say (Genisys, Dark Fate) or had its point surgically removed in rewrites and reshoots (Salvation).
1 good2 great3 ok but only in light of what came after4 could have been good but it just wasn't5 shit6 shit
>>217434616I personally liked Salvation. Kinda stupid and the plot itself is sort of weird but it is a good world to explore.
