For me, it's buying an expensive "smart" tv, but the apps barely work, so you have to buy a dedicated streaming device in order to watch Peacock without it crashing

PC to tv is the only way. No ads. Almost all tracking blocked. Piracy is a breeze. Can still watch legally. Gaming at my fingertips.

Youtube on a smart TV is unwatchable.

why ? I hate those thing
no I don't want to connect my tv to internet
no I don't want to use a google account
no I don't want to start on a hub full of ads for "the new things"
no I don't want a tv with a mic built in
no I don't want a tv with a camera built in
I just want a big screen, like a computer monitor, just give me access to few shit like contrast, color balance et voila, no need for more
also to connect a external drive to it, short cable, tv unable to read this kind of codec and shit like that
connecting a computer in hdmi will alway be the real way
