Why does just no one give a shit about the mcu anymore
It's something to vaguely look forward to for a year. I'll take what I can get at this point. I don't know shit about the comics and don't care but I don't see how Dr Doom could be a bigger threat than Thanos though
>>217440041Got too big for it's britches. Everything needs to be building up to an Infinity War-level event. You got to watch too many things now to keep up with all the fanservice which is all pretty meaningless anyway. After Endgame they should've started small again, see what really takes hold and then build to another big event. They sort of did that with the Fantastic Four, but there will never be another proper sequel for the movie when they're going to be living in the normal universe from then on.

This is cope. Everyone will always watch the avengers ones just not the leading up slop
>>217440834No, I used to watch everything. Then it really became ultraslop in the MCU TV series era and there was just too much to watch to have watched everything, and once you give up on some you give up on everything.
>>217440041They should have went on hiatus after Endgame, but they kept pumping out TV shows and movies that hardly anyone could keep up with.
>>217440041>incoherent "saga" post-Endgame that has next to no narrative arcs or buildup for the next big threat>what little buildup they DID have at the beginning was scrapped because the Kang actor was fired>the OG Avengers that everyone grew up with and loved are all dead, reduced to jokes, and/or replaced by gender/race-swapped versions with underdeveloped characterization>said gender/race-swapped replacements, and the brand new characters like Shang Chi, have only had one movie or TV show to establish their presence which feels barely earned>relentless output of content on Disney Plus that both saturated the market and burdened non-comic readers with "homework">increasingly poor CGI>Multiverse bullshit lowered the stakes and rendered character deaths meaningless>constant leaks about behind the scenes production drama and reshoots sour any remaining anticipation for long-awaited movies>hamfisted inclusion of X-Men and Fantastic Four, the former only brought in by Deadpool's 4th wall breaking, is last minute and the audiences have not spent enough time with them to care about their presence in the upcoming ensemble movie>nobody gives a fuck about Doctor DoomThe short of it is that they (and by they I mean Disney) kept churning out content with diminishing quality control and the brand devalued itself.
>>217440041overstayed it's welcome
>>217441213if they were good people would've kept up with them
>>217441273>multiverse lowered the stakeThis is the biggest one. Why even care if iron man or Spider-Man dies when you can just pull out number 37383 from the multiverse? The multiverse shit should have just stayed with the animated movies. Even time travel was a leap in endgame
>>217441844Overstayed its welcome since after Avengers, the first one
