Rogue Ond fans are so desperate to portray their addiction to a family-focused space opera franchise as mature and well written they will latch onto anything which is not Rebels-tier writing. Barely better than the other kind of star wars fans who are overwhelmed by emotional distress when their favourite character Glub Shitto gets a cameo.

I believe the issue is that they don't know how to push the story After the original story they seem terrified to have any time jump or really have anything new so it is easier for them to set things before just walking backwards story wise until we are set a million years to show you how a jedi lightsaber was formed
