I started watching The Office fairly recently, and although it's entertaining and all that, I find it interesting how childish the humor is. The fat accountant, for example, has basically become a Homer Simpson in terms of stupidity. The boss has the mental age of an 8-year-old. It's all super childish, even though the theme is a narcissistic boss in a mediocre boring office.I find it curious how in the US, adult comedy always takes this Family Guy/Simpsons route, showing adults behaving like total idiots in a super childish theme.
