Disney has an incredibly high standard for its performers and its not just a job where you can walk on with no experience in entertainment. If you're friends with a princess, you need to memorize and sing all of the songs that a kid asks you to do and you need to sound exactly like Jodie Benson or Mandi Moore or literally whoever. If you're picked for the parades you need to be a legit stunt performer, even Mickey needs to be a certain height, weight and shape and has to take classes to learn how to move like Mickey. You don't get paid like shit for this either, you get the highest paid in the parks to be friends with characters and you essentially work half days.
