it's water. rich people had bottled water back then.
>>
>>217449051
If it's water why does it seem to have a brand printed on the bottle?
>>
>Implying the most famous method actor of all time wouldn't be taking huge vodka or possibly gin pulls

It's WATER brand WATER by WATER inc

I can't believe he abandoned his irl kid for this
>>
>>217449106
because it was literally a water delivery service. they still have glass bottled water today. this was in the 1920s when there were no plastic bottles.

even back then you had Special Pure Spring Water™ brands that rich people had delivered. just like Voss and Evian or w/e today.

Very method
>>
>>217450544
Perhaps, rather, it is the hipsters at the Mumford and Sons concert who dress like him...
>>
>>217450742
Why would people at a concert dress like a character from a film that came out 3 years before?

I've liked him in other movies..... but he was kind of out of his depth in TWBB. i didn't for one second believe he was charismatic enough to command the devotion and loyalty of his congregation and for the film to really work he needed to match the intensity of plainview without being cringe.
I hate tarentino but he was kind of right. And i dont think its entirely dano or PTA's fault. They got left in the lurch at the last minute by the guy who was supposed to play Eli.

Its not the end of the world. a potential 10/10 movie became 9.3/10

Where I think Dano really failed as a member of human race is that he has forbidden his wife Zoe from doing anymore nude scenes. what an asshole

>but he was kind of out of his depth in TWBB
yeah because he replaced the original actor with two days notice, he took the job of acting opposite the legendary DDL. He did a great job considering.

That's clearly a glug, not a sip.

Is he though? A few thousand to the witness to help him dispose of the body and viola, everything's fine. Nobody would give a fuck about some backwater schizo preacher disappearing back in those days.

let's be honest, Daniel was probably murdering someone in a drunken rage once a week by that point. the butler doesn't look surprised at all

Literally just gaslighting people, they barely had drinkable water at that time. They even have a whole scene where he pushes the priest into the mud as an allegory for dirty water being against God. He’s drinking a milkshake in this scene because it was one of the few methods of clean hydration, but was relatively new and expensive for the time
>>
>>217449195
He was one of the most evil men of all time. Wtf are you talking about?
>>
>>217451790
You just hate being poor and are envious of rich people. All your whining boils down to this in the end. If you had money all your objections would fade away instantly.
>>
>>217450124
It's not his fault, fun fact is he replaced someone a day before and then was set to play the twins.
>>
>>217451037
people were built differently back then

>Alcoholic

>Doesn't have to stop for anything

What I don't like about movies like this is they make it seem like you can just drink booze for a week straight and just take an aspirin and drink a coffee and stop.

They highlight the psychological effects, but minimize the physical effects. If he was drinking like that for even 3 days at that age he would be bloated to all hell and shitting liquid 24/7.
>>
>>217449051
Looks like water, why is he calling it a milkshake?
>>
>>217451037
I remember me and my Korean roommate walked down to the beach one day, and we stopped by the liquor store. We both bought a bottle.

As soon as we get to the actual beach, I was trying to scout a place for us to chill (Cali so a bunch of nooks and crannies) and I turn around for one second and he had chugged a full size bottle of Jagermeister. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it.

The crazy part is he was walking and talking totally fine until his dad called him and they started talking in Korean and a switch flipped and he sounded trashed
