Why does everyone blame her when she wasnt the one who threw the map in the river
She didn't put out, which would have helped in relieving tension and get everyone cool-headed again.
>>217453074Josh was the one to blame. He kicked the rocks. They were doomed after that
>>217453096She fucked them both the first night when they were at the hotel.
>>217453074She hit a federal officer with her car.
>>217453096this but unironically
>>217453074>that forehead
>>217453096>>217453132>>217453172camping sex is not as fun as you think
>>217453203Yeah, I'd love to nut on that
She took one of these wooden voodoo things
>>217453074I blame the witch
>>217453675The witch was just protecting her home, they're the ones that violated the NAP.
>>217453074She walled so hard
>>217453750Damn they made a sequel?
>>217453749They were making a move, she had to get it on.
>>217453074>threw the map in the riverThis was the jump the shark moment of the film. Before that everyone acted realistically as people would in that situation but then there's this completely unhinged move just to get the drama going
>>217453840They had already been lost for days when he threw the map away and that was the reason. They were literally haunted every night by demons at this point.
>>217453074Because she was a stuck up liberal whore who couldn't play scared to save her life so they had to threaten that bitch with a knife.
>>217453840People do completely retarded shit under stress. Also they got lost FOLLOWING A FUCKING RIVER. There's zero reason to use a map after that.
>>217453074I love the film theory about this movie
Was the Witch bending reality or did Heather just have very poor orientation skills and bearings?
>>217454218>or did Heather just have very poor orientation skills and bearings?Heather is a woman, what do you think?
>>217453074The map was useless so it doesn't really matter.
Why didn't they just sprint in opposite directions causing the witch to have to conjure up larger sections of new forests while keeping the topology closed and eventually overwhelm her?
>>217453074She is the one that brought them herealso she is a woman so she deserves blame by default
This is one of those movies where it's just misery porn because there was no way out. I feel sad for the characters because they were doomed from the start.
>>217454594Heather WAS the witch, or at least possessed by her/her avatar.
>>217454628What's the evidence for that again? I think I read some theory but it was a bit flimsy
>>217453750>wow people age as they get olderYou think, retard? Why are zoomers so obsessed with aging as if it won’t happen to them too?
>>217453074My theory is that the two guys (and some of their friends as accomplices) had orchestrated this to fuck with her. It's not true, but its my personal spooky theory that you can't refute.
my mom thought this was real lol
>>217453096Chimpanzees show the same relief from tension can be achieved by gay sex
>>217453840They were supernaturally trapped in an endless forest by that point. Only retards that misremember the movie think it’s not supernatural.
>>217454218100% bending reality. The map was useless at that point.
>>217455173The Rustin Parr murder house at the end shouldn’t be there. Their footage and equipment was found buried in the old foundation since it had burned down several years before.
What's with all the Blair Witch posts recently? Are they making another one or something?
>>217455173>>217455932Also: The documentary was Heather’s idea in the first place, she wasn’t lured into participating. That fan theory has never once made sense.
>>217453750She’s fucking insane too, had a breakdown so she just out of nowhere decided to drive around the country and get drunk at bars and cryNo, because I know some sad sacks of shit will say so, but that isn’t “based”.
>>217456023Makes way more sense than there being some kind of evil witch entity in the forest.
>>217453750She was already walled in the movie
>>217456037No it doesn’t. What is this stupid reddit line of thinking where you tards think a horror movie is improved by it not being supernatural? That sucks shit.
>>217456076She never walled. She was just never attractive, much like Josh and Mike. Just average college students.
>>217456115It always gets me when the "rational" explanations require a supernatural level of contrivance and freak, one in a billion occurrences.
>>217456146It’s why all fan theory’s suck. They nearly all boil down to some variation of 'it was all in their head/it was a dream'
Just follow the river downstream...
>>217456235theories*
>>217456237They tried that.
>>217456237Fun story detail: they spend much of the film just walking "south". "If we keep going south, we will get out!" "Going south", of course, is a metaphor for things going badly. I believe that this repeated word choice was intentional, for this metaphorical reason. Further evidence that this detail was intentional is the late scene where Josh is now gone, and they finally realize, hm, maybe we shouldn't keep going south, so they try east for a bit after a bit of Wicked Witch discussion, reasoning that "The Wicked Witch of the West was the bad one". The thing is, both Wicked Witches (West and East) were bad. I just realized something for the first time ever. Wicked Witch of the East is the one that's killed when the house drops on her right in the beginning. This compares nicely with Heather being knocked down, presumably by the witch, in the basement of the house, at the end.
Only filming location video I’ve found from when the house was still there:https://youtu.be/BSoXLCTjnTI?si=L0KBzTaxVWQyW2j9
>>217455932Then why is it there in the footage at all? I guess the spoopy witch rewound time a few years? I prefer my theory.>>217456023So they got the idea after she proposed the documentary.
>>217456404I always pictured Heather getting whacked with an axe from behind by a bewitched Josh
>mc gets a phone call that his one night stand is trapped in her apartment and slowly bleeding to deathWould you save her?
>>217453130The festival cut really makes Josh the villain.
>>217453074She turned me into a newt!
>>217453074She said it herself, she treated the legend lightly and didn't give it the due deference it deserved. They were fucked the moment they knocked down the rock pile. Mike does absolve her and correctly states it is nobody's real fault, by implication in the movie, but also in deleted scenes.
>>217456543For your theory to work they would somehow have to demolish said house that had already burned down, bury their gear and footage making it seem as if the foundation had been undisturbed for years, leave their car behind and wander off somewhere never to be seen again.
>>217456566Did he do anything else in it besides kicking the rocks? I haven't watched that version.
They used Heather's scream in Blair Witch for the movie Tar (2022).https://youtu.be/53HS5f4dmgI
>>217456585It’s also worth noting that they went back and shot some alternate endings that were more blatantly paranormal, but felt that they looked silly.
>>217456033If got paid almost nothing to carry a film that ends up grossing $250 million i'd go a little insane too.
>>217456763Only because it was requested of them by the financiers, and then after they shot it, the financiers were ok with using the original ending.
>>217456789>paid nothingThey got points, according the the Mike actor. I don't know what it amounted to, but they probably all made a good amount for it. .
