What a cinematic legend. What is your favourite Bill Murray film? Why? Mine is Groundhog's Day. The plot and acting are just extremely well done.

I liked Bill in Zombieland actually.
I think he used that role to say what he actually thinks about 'it all'.
The funniest part is when Bill character is dying and someone asks him if he has any regrets and he says "I don't know, maybe Garfield".

For me it's Ghostbusters.

I feel like most his shit is too tainted in the times to be appreciated by modern audiences. No zoomer wants to watch some guy smoke and talk about tits with a fat guy, even though if they did, it'd be the funniest shit ever

Either Groundhog Day or Lost in Translation depending on mood. Ghostbusters is a bit more of an ensemble movie but it's great too.
>>
i really liked him in Rushmoore, groundhog day is a great pic

His late 70s-early 80s output was legit funny

Stripes was a huge movie on cable in the 80s because it had once scene with boobs.
>>
Too may to list, he’s that good.

I genuinely dislike him and his work. For as much as people talk about "stoner comedy" or "millenial comedy", his whole schtick was just being a dumb yuppie. It's only funny to boomers. And the whole lolsorandumb "no one will ever believe you" shit is so fucking contrived.
>>
He was a supporting actor in Tootsie as well a huge hit at the time and now problematic with trannyphile wokists.

Nah, never bought it. Bogdanovich carted out Karloff for a role that hints at his past, to be shot by a misguided young man. Does Murray have that weight (like Jerry Lewis for King of Comedy) to be a reference?
>>
Groundhog Day. With Scrooged and Life Aquatic being real close behind.

I wish I'd seen his movies earlier. They were just never on TV in my area.
