Nobody would dress like this.
They're clowns. We're supposed to laugh at them.
Leonard and Sheldon have realistic fits
I stopped wearing my Green Lantern shirts because of this show.
My dad really likes this show, when he marathoned it for the first time he started watching again from the beginning without a break. And my sister really likes young Sheldon despite never watching the original show
>>217462385I share an office with Physics PhD students and they pretty much dress like Sheldon and Leonard
>>217462583Some key details are out of sync. Sheldon has a long t under his t? He's got a large stainless steel watch rather than a Casio? Leonard got a non-fishing vest with a perfect fit for his hoodie?
>>217462623>Sheldon has a long t under his t?yeah this was very popular
>>217462623This. It’s always been nerd face.>>217462583You are the same tards that said at the time >nerds actully act like thisIt it was never even close.
>>217462623are you 12? people commonly did all of these things at the time.
My brother regularly complains that this show makes fun of smart people and that offends him as a highly intelligent person. You can feel the awkward silence after he says this yet he has no self awareness.
>>217462748Nerds didn't.
I know this is /tv/ and not /fa/ but I am a seasoned /fa/g and I can assure you these are outfits that exist in the real world. Most of Leonard and Sheldons fits are pretty basic. Especially for the mid 2000’s and 2010’s. Raj can be eccentric at times but as someone who lives in the Midwest with a large Indian community, I see guys in my apartment complex dressed like season 1-5 Raj all the time. Howard is probably the most outlandish but he’s catering more to 60’s and 70’s aspects of fashion with the big collars and especially the haircut. I saw many groups of incel kids in college that looked pretty much like these retards lol. Fashion spectrum is crazy, people will wear anything if they believe they look cool.
>>217463316>I see guys in my apartment complex dressed like season 1-5 Raj all the time.damn, I wish I had your Indians
>>217462385I used to dress pretty similar to Sheldon
>>217463360Midwest Indians man. They’re a different breed. I don’t live in an “Indian community” per-say, but there’s 1 or 2 big families that live in my complex and they most certainly are all in tech or work at an office all day. A lot of quarter zips with button ups and crazy print shirts all the time. Usually corduroy and some sort of slip on shoe. I should buy one of them some checkered vans slip ons so I can just essentially watch someone cosplay Raj
>>217463316I would say long sleeve shirt under t-shirt is more 90s than 2000s
>>217463419It gained popularity in the 90’s for sure, but super big in the 2000’s too. Look at some old Bam margera fits, or Drake from Drake and Josh was doing it too, and a lot of skate companies actually released shirts with the long sleeve part sewed in LMAO. Super 2000’s if you ask me.
>>217463316You're bullshitting if you saw "incels" with the outfits of the middle two. Anyone who goes out dressed like that doesn't give a fuck about what other people think, which is opposite of incels.
>>217462385Thats the joke, they are autists who have no idea how to dress
>>217463485Do you not understand how fashion works? Not everyone is trying to impress or “dOnT GivE a FuCk” some people just wear what they believe to be the correct outfit for them and don’t think anything of it. Wearing a patterned button up and a zip up that don’t match from an objective fashion standpoint is not uncommon. I will say I didn’t really see anyone dressed LIKE Howard, but as someone who was around in the 2000’s I saw a lot of bowl cuts with retarded shirts to match and I 100% saw Indians and white kids dressed like Raj and Leonard. You do realize these shows hire costume designers with years of experience and a vast knowledge of what the characters would wear based on their traits. But you don’t care anyways. I’ll go back to /fa/.
>>217463559How am I supposed to dress and do my hair in my 40s? I've barely changed anything since my late 20s
>>217462385Yeah where are the new balance shoes and cargo pants and non-descript t-shirts?These nerds are supposed to be literally me, not some colorful and entertaining cast of characters with fulfilling careers, friends, and relationships! This is nerd blackface!
>>217463633Isn't Sheldon wearing cargo pants?
>>217463559>You do realize these shows hire costume designers with years of experience and a vast knowledge of what the characters would wear based on their traits. It's very clear you know nothing about TV lmao. Costume designer might have some idea but the director will just pick whatever looks funniest.
>>217463631Let go of everything. Re invent. Think about proportions and not color. If you haven’t changed anything since your 20’s, that probably means you’re just hanging on to the last good years of your life. But that’s not always a bad thing. I’m guilty of it myself and still have a few graphic tees from when I was in HS/College that still fit me. But if you’re genuinely struggling just try shaved head if your skull isn’t a fucked up shape. Shaved head is super kino rn and you will have plenty young hot ladies you got some good menswear looks and shaved head. Hope this helps, anon. I believe in you. Come to /fa/ sometime we would love to have you.
>>217463672>It's very clear you know nothing about TV lmao.>thinks random directors of episodes choose the casts costumes
>>217463717If you're making it like it's a slop production where the director doesn't care, then the costume designer probably isn't that talented either but just some nepobaby who picks what looks funny.
>>217463672You ever watch anything about this show specifically? The costume designers on this show were very well versed in the nuances of each character and put in a lot of work especially with Howard’s looks. Did you know most of Kramers shirts on Seinfeld were all hand made and carefully crafted to resemble the late 50’s and early 60’s? I doubt Larry David just made picks based off of how “funny” a shirt was. If you’re a director of a show and you’re worried about “funny shirts”instead of how the jokes play in the edit or how much time is left to shoot a scene, your show probably sucks balls.
>>217463711Im an autist with no social life, number 6 around the back and sides, longer on top. Hair is Basically a less well kept version of mark usher from house of cards, except I haven't gone grey yet, cargo pants,t shirt, hoody, pretty much dropped the graphic t's for plain ones. I still have a full head of hair so I'm not shaving it
>>217463768>talking about The Big Bang Theoryhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASZ8Hks4gko
Buganda
>>217463737Youre retarded, faggot. Its nothing to do with the director. The characters on shows like this all have carefully crafted looks. Thats someone's full-time job and it's not the director.
>>217463791Lynchian
>>217463807Which the director/showrunner picks. They're offered and one gets picked as the look. If the episode director doesn't care, neither does the costume designer and they just pick whatever looks close to earlier or goof it up a bit, make it look even funnier.
>>217462583I am a physics phd and I dress like Leonard
>>217462756>i am tallok>i am strongok>i am smartOMG you can't just say that! uhhhhhmmmm awkward?!
>>217463672>be me>directing season finale of breaking bad>watching Walter die on the floor >somethingswrong.jpg>his shirt isn’t making me laugh>change shirt to a funny dinosaur eating a cookie >laugh uncontrollably >shoot scene >fire my entire wardrobe design Can confirm this is how TV works
>>217462385It's a 2007 sitcom. They just kept up the outfits regardless of all the years that passed.
>>217463864Problem?
>>217463777This fucking guy?? Anon, shave your head man. And get some good vintage work wear and some good denim and a good pair of slacks and just hard reset. You already have autism and wearing a hoodie and cargo pants at your age does not help.
>>217463838Sure Chaim Levine probably was involved in establishing the look for all of the main characters but if you think the director of the 7th episode of the 4th season was fretting over what they're wearing you are a fucking retard.
>>217463895Looking up the characters throughout the seasons, their looks don't even vary much. So it was Chaim Levine and all further episodes just copied what he picked.
>>217463838>neither does the costume designer I can assure you someone whose entire job is devoted to choosing the outfit of a character millions of people will watch and remember, they will care atleast enough to make sure they don’t look stupid so they don’t feel embarrassed. Clearly these people are great at their job because we’re talking about Howard’s stupid fucking belt buckles and turtle necks 15 years later on 4chan.
>>217463928So they just copy what came before.
>>217463942Anon, I’m going to fucking bed.
>>217463893Yeah that guy. You want me to shave my head and dress like this? I'm not in shawshank you know.
>>217462385I look like this and say that.
This thread is especially low iq, as expected for big bang theory
>>217463968I know you know nothing about fashion at all and I’m not saying that in a mean way, but that is unironically a great fit. A jacket like that is the pinnacle of American work wear. That’s essentially just a chore coat. If you shaved your head to like a 2 and got a sick chore coat or a good vintage sears jacket and some good fitting Levi’s you would fuck. 100%. I know I’m just some guy on 4chan but you have to listen to me before you fall deep into autism fits forever.
>>217464006That’s a terrible workwear fit you poser, the loose clothes would get caught in the machinery or on the logs or your tools or the boxcart
Fraiser but nerd guys!
>>217464036Duh. I don’t work. I am unemployed and sell vintage and I’m on 4chan at 4 am. Of course I don’t know what’s best for being an actual blue collar. I’m concerned about proportion and material. Not my long day in the coal mines.
>>217464006I'd rather just be comfy. I dont want to wear heavy denim.
>>217462385And i bet they had tracksuit jackets as well
>>217464080>id rather be comfy Whatever anon. You’re doomed.
>>217464106I'm doomed anyway but I had a lot of sex in my 20s so it's OK
>>217464006>>217463893>telling some anon that still has a full head of hair in his 40's to shave it>unironically suggesting some faggy carhartt workman larpThis has to be troll advice.
>>217464076>I smoke cockUnderstood
>>217464162Post one of your fits then. You won’t.
>>217464182Nigger you don't need to be a top-tier /fa/ggot to know why that's shit advice. With workwear you either look like you're larping, or you look like a slob/bum/you just stopped giving a shit. And if you really need it explained why an oldfag with good hair shouldn't shave it, you're the last person to being giving fashion advice.Ironically enough as well, i actually do shave my head and wear workwear everywhere. Thing is i know i look like shit, but no fit in the world is going to fix my shit social skills and assburgers.
i'm always baffled when anybody wears more than 2 layers of clothing in a country that doesn't get regular snow, including outside of winter. it gets actually cold in my country so when i go elsewhere i tend to be in shorts and a tshirt when the rap listening normies are in their hoodies and jeans.
>>217464374It depends on what you're acclimatised to.
>>217464323Doesn’t sound like he has “good hair”>>217463893This is what he says his hair is like. This is not a “full head of hair” this is barely an attempt of a hair style. He should shave it to like a 2 and just start wearing cool minimalist work jackets and keep a few of his autistic traits and he will be fine
>>217464491The hairdresser girl recently told me my hair is thick. Whats the problem with a short back and sides? It's a classic style.
>>217464525>b-but muh haircut lady said-She’s a hairdresser. It’s her job. She’s not gonna tell you that you look autistic and retarded.
>>217462385I'd wear Leonards jacket but that's it
>>217463467It's cool and I don't care otherwiseI'm bringing it back
>>217464616She's some hot, hip 19 year old girl. Youre just annoyed I won't wear your prison costume
>>217462837I did and I was an engineering student.
>>217462385Replace any nerd reference T-shirts with just plain normal ones and Leonard and Sheldon dress like everyone else. Howard and Pajeet are dressed for comedy effect.
