I rewatched these movies, the second one is a masterpiece, the first one was ok, the third one had a lot of good jokes but some felt too forced. I think they ran out of steam and that's why it ended there.

The blackjack scene is one of the funniest scenes in film history

I recently rewatched the movies and the third one felt a bit all over the place. Going back to the 70s and bringing back his dad and Foxxy like its nothing. They don't really play up the era like they did with the second movie.

I thought the first one was a masterpiece. The 2nd one was very good too but reused some of the same jokes.

It's a bit tricky to keep such comedy going.
The new Naked Gun is on prime video. Some jokes are good, but I feel a lot were way too forced, and many will age terribly because they're just pathetic current references not actual jokes.

Remember when we pretended that being gay wasn't a choice?

is it just me or has this entire series been memory-holed. no cultural impact etc etc. and it was crazy popular back in the late 90s.
