>>217465163bong here they always used to cut out the swearing and the gang scenes in this film i only discovered them like 20 years later on youtube and was gobsmacked to see johnny say hes really pissed off at the end, and the whole los locos kick your ass just felt weird because for years and years i would watch that movie and those scenes were not there. Also it's the daddy of "Holding out for a hero" everyone else that came after can fuck it self only Mario Bros felt right and gave me the johnny 5 feeling

>>217467033Was this after he was painted gold?I seem to remember the soundtrack *edit* looked it up and holy shit the music just gave me massive chills! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BK9BiQJDv3A&list=RDBK9BiQJDv3A&start_radio=1There was something unnerving about this ending though a lot of questions unanswered and alsohim being excepted was somewhat carthatic and even though it feels happy there's a sadness in the air because we dont know what happened after that and also something about the atmosphere, it's making me feel weird like some ai videos, has that dream like surreal shit to it like it was almost real
>>217465163Greatest chase scene of my childhood "WHERE IS HE?!?!?! HE IS LEAKING AND WILL RUN OUT POWER AND DIE!!!!!"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rfjv66w9u7c&list=RDRfjv66w9u7c&start_radio=1
TIL Fischer Stevens was not actually Indian
>>217465549An out of touch boomer
>>217467058I fucking loved Toys. The whole movie feels like a fever dream
>>217466968>Also it's the daddy of "Holding out for a hero">>217467152This scene was fucking masterful. I don't know that I've ever seen one (chase scene, dying MC, running out of time) done better than this.
>>217465163YOUR MOTHER IS A SNOWBLOWER
>>217467058>Last Starfighterbeyond based
>>217467178he wasn't a hacker either
>>217467207There's a theory that it's actually about a man in a mental asylum so he creates the toy factory as a coping mechanism in his head. There was a big thread about it some years ago but never took notes but sounded plausible. Specially the way the military side of it was supposed to represent the wardens and doctors looking after them.
>>217467259WHAT
>>217465163God, why don't they make dumb but fun movies like these 80s classics anymore? Stupid but exciting premises like Wargames, Last Starfighter, Goonies, D.A.R.Y.L. etc. Some even had swearing and nudity in them despite being kids movies.
the quintessential american film
Heavy Metal
Beastmaster
>>217467383what in the fake he-man is this shit?
>>217467313because no one left in hollywood has any imagination left, they just keep remaking the same old shit for, lmao, "modern audiences"
>>217467282oh fuck off with the "duude it was all in his head lol!" shit that needs to stay dead and buried in 2009.
>>217465549Someone who fucks auns.
>>217467313Because there are a lot of people in Hollywood that look at those 80s movies as the reason why there are a lot of bad grown adults now. They blame the mostly white actors in 80s movies as the reason for racism today, and the excess of guns, violence and nudity in 80s movies, they think these things warped the minds of young kids and caused them to grow up to be unstable and angry, so now we have woke and DEI as a result of that.
>>217467396Tanya Roberts finest hour
I got a bunch of people from work to watch this completely forgetting the rape jokeI also got some people to watch Killer Klowns and then noticed the scene where they make fun of the one girl's weight while the guy pretends to be a native americanI don't recommend older movies until I rewatch them now.
>>217467313These people >>217467406 >>217467454are kinda retarded. The reason Hollywood doesn't put money into new movies is because there is no money in new movies. Because of the wide spread of the entertainment industry now (movies, tv, video games, music, books, social media, comics) it's impossible to get eyes onto new things and when they do get those eyes, they are incredibly distracted and don't know what they're looking at and usually refuse to even try. So they have created a new standard where everything needs to be immediately recognizable, in other words, slop.
I remember watching this as a kid thinking this was life as an adult was going to be like. Nnnnnope.
>>217467441whats youre fucking problem? truth hurts? theres no way a toy factory would ever be run like that, robin also alluded to it in some interviews you clown

>>217467249Any old fags here remember a robot kids/family movie from no later than the early 80s? Kind of like Short Circuit (1986), but I know it would have been before '85. It had rover-type robots going around, and I remember (I think) one had a power rod that was removed to give another one power as a sort of selfless sacrifice.
tru unccore
>>217465579its not a buzzword per se, its nigspeak used by wiggers mostly. quite embarassing. using it ironically in excess got t b h and f a m filtered back in the day
