>>217466948Would be very interesting to see an alternate reality where there was only one worldengine and the movie plays out like you said because on the one hand you're kind of right but onthe other hands one of the big complaints about superman movies for ages is that the stakes are always too low and reliant on a kryptonite gimmick to even the playing field so superman doesnt just roflstomp everyone and everything plus i kind of feel like there was overwhelming negative sentiment over MoS forstered by the media who were all dicksucking marvel superhard and were butthurt about the christian messaging in MoS so I think it wouldnt have changed much.

Which is all christian, for sure, but its both a flavor of christianity and its own secular weepy mood. A cheerier christian story about the feeling of being saved or having a savior, would have played better than a dour islam-themed story about the necessity of jihad.
