But season one was so fucking huge that they were convinced Milo, Quinto, and Hayden were overnight megastars that were going to continue to be huge in Hollywood. They scrapped the anthology aspect and tried to continue the series with the original cast. This is the biggest reason things got weird after season 1. Peter constantly losing his powers, Ali becoming a secret triplet. It’s because the story should have ended in season one but they forced it to continue, and a lot of the characters already resolved their conflict and no longer had anything to contribute to the story so they just made bullshit up.
