A drunk girl in a bar approached me one time and told me I looked like Chris Elliot.
She didn't use the name, she said the guy from Something About Mary.
When I realized who she meant, I wasn't angry or anything, but I gave one of those "oh yea thanks" chuckles.
She immediately got this disappointed frown like she thought she offended me and said she didn't mean it as an insult, and just turned and walked away.

This was my thought as well.
Like he's not seen as a handsome man, and in that role in particular he's especially weird.
So I thought she was taking the piss, and rolled with it like a champ anyway. It truly didn't bother me, I just kind of awkwardly chuckled because I didn't know what she meant by it
