I just finished reading the books. How bad is the show?I heard they rewrote half of the story and race/gender swapped all the good characters. Is it still worth watching? Since I read the original I actually don't mind if it's not super faithful, and has some changes to the story or surprises.
>>217478685Never read the books. I got bored and gave up on this maybe 3/4 of the way through season 1. Lee Pace and Harris are the only people giving even remotely passable performances and Harris is barely in it.
It's nothing like the book but they made up a storyline that's actually very compelling. The butchered stuff from the book is awful though
