Starring Erin Kellyman, Dir Nia Dacosta.

The fourth & latest installment in visionary Danny Boyle's zombie series breaks some (at times, uncomfortable) new ground, but still offers up plenty of fun & frights!

It's currently at 9.3 on IMDB - seems pretty high for a horror flick.. If you've seen it - was it that good?

Erin Kellyman can't act.

Perhaps the Bone Temple brings out the best in her

It was fine. I actually liked the previous one more. This one mostly just plays around with elements that were introduced there. Still a shame that it's a flop, because now we'll never see the conclusion of the trilogy. Anyway, I wouldn't even call it a horror film. The zombie stuff is really kept to a minimum.

Nia DaCosta? More like Nigra DaNogra

I really liked it. Doctor and Samson bromance was based. Kinda fucks with 28 Weeks Later iirc there were scientists looking for a cure and they weren’t close to treating to the infected but this guy was with like zero resources.

Shame here will never be a third part with the low box office. Was hoping to see the doctor miraculously survive or Samson put up a memorial for him.

Previous one was a bit better.
This one suffers from not exploring Jimmy Crystal enough and Dacosta's boring, rudimentary cinematic and directorial skills.
Fiennes saves the movie. I liked Samson more than I thought I would, as I was hellbent on hating him. It's entertaining enough but feels like it's just a bridge between part 1 and the next movie.

The diegetic music was kino. A+ use of the beginning of Rio.

Kid A scene was euphoric. Good job Samson :^)

the girl one was cute as hell, wish she'd been the female lead instead of the other one which wasn't very cute or very good

I truly feel like it was Raph Fiennes film - he was simply divine here, again as Dr Ian Kelson, a performance that would leave even Daniel Day-Lewis speechless with jealousy.

Fiennes is a scene stealer. He's in Hurt Locker for 30 seconds and he steals the scene in that too.

anything above a 6 is questionable. Its OK, a nice add on to 28 Years Later but its not as good as the previous movie. Ofcourse the redditlettermedia crowd love it for the over the top gore

I think people are hyping up the barn scene too much. We only ever see the aftermath

Sir Jimmy is proof of how much a good director can make a difference. Introduced with "fucking go", "hello..lets be pals" he is charismatic and interesting.
Bone Temple he is self conscious and makes you almost roll your eyes when he calls on his father - reminded me of the Psychic on Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights

Danny is just much more magnetic and eccentric with his actors. Saw a video of him directing Jack O'Connell today for a movie they're making, and the guy's flailing his arms at him under the rain.
