At least in 5 you have the characters (the natove woman) do things lol. And the visual things can be copied. You also already have a movie with just puzzles and shooting that can be just done by the stories

Fuck that, I’m endlessly frustrated that the most obvious slam dunk in cinema history never happened. We’ve had a dozen awful Resident Evil games just for Hollywood to completely ignore Resident Evil 2 and how perfect an adaptation of it would be for James Cameron. And not only would it have been a perfect match in every conceivable way but it would’ve filled in the gap between titanic and avatar where he didn’t make any movies, thus giving him another potential masterpiece. Biggest missed opportunity in Hollywood history
