He was king of morning FM radio at one time in the late 80s and early 90s but was never important in any other media, he made a self serving biopic that he insisted on playing himself in and he had some success bringing his now problematic radio act to TV at one time. Of course since he now disowns all of that it no longer counts and he is king of a satellite radio show with 250k regular listeners which is podcast level viewership.
