>one day you'll be able to enter a prompt and generate a full length movieThis technology is already available and people are using it to make concept movies. But one day in the not too distant future, I think the average person will have the capability to generate entire movies from simple prompts. And they'll be of such high quality that you'll struggle to tell it's AI at all. It makes me wonder, what kind of movies will the average person make, will the movie industry die, and what will happen to cinemas?
>90 minute long Xochi TikToksKino….kino…..
I don't know if I'm just coping but I think AI is going to hit a wall where it can't really make something as good as my favorite french or asian art movies. Like, it can already make songs that sound like radio pop or specific archetypes very well but it still has this inhuman touch that I can immediately detect because my IQ is above 90 and so I think even if I write a script for some kino 5 years from now I probably won't be able to enjoy it because it will still have too many tells.
>>217483754Community but it's just Annie and Britta fucking each other at the beginning and end of every episode.
i think it will be a big hurdle for anything involving people to not come off as literally soulless. but the brown people who already enjoy this shit don;t notice as they have no soul
>>217483808My 70 year old mom after a few months is already able to tell when songs she finds are AI generated and some of them are pretty convincing sounding so I have faith that most people will develop an ear and eye to recognize AI in the coming months and years.
I want real movies from real people. Fuck off with your snake oil.
>>217483754>generate a full length movieDo you need that much though? You can get everything you need with just a few seconds.
>he thinks moshe goldberg ceo of universal will let the average joe use that technologyif AI gets to that point only the fat cats will have acces to it, they will save millions but still charge the same if not more money for tickets and digital copies
>>217483754Given the people who enjoy AI now, it'll be used as a remake machine>Hey ChatGPT, I hate Robert Zemeckis, turn Back to the Future 2 into a Kubrick film
>>217484786Or even better, they'll use it to make remakes with the dumbest casting choices ever>tom holland as marty>rdj as doc>zendaya as lea thompson (they never saw the movie so they don't know lea is supposed to be marty's mom)
If my favorite director sat down and spent a few months giving thousands of prompts to create a movie I'm sure it would be good
