I'm guessing none of that stuff goes anywhere, or GRRM himself wasn't able to tell them where it was going or didn't want to reveal stuff in the show because at that point he knew the show would reveal the plot before the books. without some kind of dramatic consequences a plot is just a character explaining their sekrit motivations to the audience in a clunky expository scene while another character stands there going "ohmygosh!" the only genuinely weird omission was the obviously central role of the Faceless Men and the dragonbinder horn. instead we the shitty trip to the north so the Night King could 1-shot then raise a dragon. to me that seems like something GRRM asked them to leave out.
