Was he really a bad guy at all?

Who are these Middle Eastern actors?

Kevin O'Leary

He did business with the country that killed his son. Yeah, he is a bad guy.

Marty deserved a lesson in humility.

Josh should have went with the vampire thing, the film already had surreal elements to it, why not. Although I wouldn't have done it the way it was originally intended with that corny ending of Milton biting Marty. He should have just smiled and revealed vampire teeth in that shot where he looks at Marty playing against the jap, and that would've been perfect.

If I had a nickel for every movie in 2025 I watched that had an Irish vampire in it..... i'd have zero nickels because I didn't watch either of these movies

This nigga is not irish, he is part lebanese (most likely a lebanese jew, not an arab) and that part is much more noticable than the irish one.

>He flashes his teeth in a half-second shot that nobody else notices and the movie doesn't linger on, and then the movie still ends the way it does now
That would have been good

He believed in nothing. He gets senstive over his son's death at the hands of the Japs, but does business with them. He cuts Marty off after Marty insults his dead son, but still decides to forgive him so he can continue using him to make money. He was a slimey scumbag but was far better than Marty.

>muh /tv/ poster director said something that's gospel
/tv/ is more retarded than reddit if you seriously think Josh considered this as a serious ending. Sure, it may have crossed his mind, but he's playing it up to mythologise/memeify the movie in the minds of retards like (you).

I never said Josh seriously considered making that the ending. I actually said Josh SHOULD have seriously considering adding the vampire element, just differently. The movie already had surreal stuff in it, abstractions with all those jewish inserts akin to stuff in A Serious Man such as the Holocaust flashback or the dog being named Moses. It also wouldn't be the first time a Safdie went full surreal, this is a bit of a spoiler for one of their movies but: in Daddy Longlegs there's a dream sequence where a character fights a huge mosquito.
And Benny also wrote The Curse.
