If you liked the comic I recommend avoiding it. Most characters become black, a woman, or a black woman, but in addition to that it is just plain incompetent. I stopped watching after the episode where Morpheus goes to hell. Missed absolutely every mark, no redeeming qualities.

the comic is also bad. no Gaiman adaptations have succeeded because fundamentally he doesn't have good story ideas, it's all basically that Dogma movie but without the jokes.

Nah, the comic book is great, shits all over what you think is the best tv shows of all time. This Netflix adaptation is just bad and it hides behind "controversial casting" so people don't see how bad it fundamentally is.
